I built a Hasegawa's F-5E kit in 1/32 scale about thirteen years ago (appx. in 2005).
At that time, I did not take any photos during the process of assembling/painting of this kit, so I can only upload some pictures of the finished model as shown below.
I entered a Smoky Mountain Mini-com 24(hosting IPMS/Knoxville Scale Modelers) in 2006 with this F-5E model(see photo at bottom right),
and this F-5E model won the "Best in Show" award (see photo at bottom left) at that occasion.
I sincerely give thanks again to the IPMS/Knoxville Scale Modelers.
This Hasegawa's kit is very old and the kit mold has old-fashioned "raised" panel lines.
So, I engraved all panel lines by using a needle-type scriber.
I used Blackbox's resin parts of the Cockpit detail set.
I used a decal sheet(VFC-13 markings) which is included in the Hasegawa kit.
The markings are painted in "inverted" colors, so I made careful efforts to match the camouflage colors to the decal colors.
The kit is very old, but the kit itself is very good even though some details are poorly molded.
A photo at top right shows the Top Gun's F-5E which I took at NAS.Miramar in August 1975.
This F-5E was camouflaged in the similar blue colors as the ones I painted on my F-5E model as shown on the photo at top left.
ハセガワの1/32のF-5Eは、今から12〜13年ほど前（恐らく2005年ころ）に作りました。
当時はまだこのHPを立ち上げる前だったので、製作途中の写真は全く撮っていませんでした。
よって、このページでは、完成品の写真のみ掲載させていただきます。
完成した翌年の2006年、IPMS/USAのノックスビル・チャプター（テネシー州）が主催するコンテスト『Smoky Mountain Mini-com 24』にこのモデルを出品して、
"Best in Show"賞をいただきました。下段右の写真はコンテスト会場で撮影しました。そこでいただいたトロフィーが下段左の写真です。
一見見栄えはいいですが、ちゃちな安物です（Ha-Ha！）。でも小生にとっては大切なトロフィーです。
このキットは大変古いキットで、パネルラインは凸モールドになっています。
そこで小生は全ての凸モールドを削り取り、けがき針で彫り直しました。
アフター・パーツとしてはBlackboxのコックピット・セットのみ使いました。
コックピット部分では、大変複雑な形状のキャノピー開閉機構の作り込みに苦労しました。
デカールはキット付属のものを使いましたが、迷彩色と同じ色を使った『色反転式』のマーキングであり、
迷彩色の調色に注意を払いました。
古いキットですが、とても良いキットだと思いました。
上段右の写真は1975年にNAS.ミラマーで撮影しましたが、今回作ったF-5Eと同系統の青色迷彩を施していました。
