In 2005 (thirteen years ago), I built an Westland Sea King Mk.48 in 1/48 scale by using Hasegawa's kit of SH-3 Sea King as a base of my model.
At that time, I did not take any photos during the process of assembling/painting of this project, so I can only upload some pictures of the finished model as shown below.
I made a small conversion from the U.S.Navy's SH-3 Sea King (kit shape) to the Westland Sea King Mk.48 operated by Belgium Air Force.
The conversion includes ---- adding dorsal radome (resin part) and also changing from five-bladed tail rotor to six-bladed one (resin part).
I made some other small changes/additions to finish my model as a Belgium SAR helicopter (early model before modernization up-grade).
I used a DACO's decal sheet for this Sea King.
A photo at above right shows a Belgium Sea King (the up-graded type), which I took at Florence, Belgium, in July 2008.
今から13年前の2005年に、ハセガワのSH-3シーキング（1/48)のキットを使って、Westland Sea King Mk.48 を作りました。
当時はまだこのHPを立ち上げる前だったので、製作途中の写真は全く撮っていませんでした。
よって、このページでは、完成品の写真のみ掲載させていただきます。
ハセガワのキットは良くできているので、あまり苦労せずに完成しました。
Westland製のシーキングにするため、アフターマーケット部品で探してきた背中のレドーム（レジン製）と６枚ブレードのテールローター（これもレジン製）を使いました。
ベルギー空軍の救難型シーキングではアチコチにアンテナ類が追加されているため、それは実機写真を参考に自作して付けました。
キットのモールドでは、表面リベットがマバラ過ぎるので、実機写真を参考にリベット（けがき針で浅く掘り込むだけ）をかなり追加しました。
デカールはDACOのデカールを使いました。右上写真は小生が2008年にFlorenceで撮影したベルギーのシーキングですが、近代化改修が施されたアップグレード型です。
