The A-1H Skyraider which I photographed in Pensacola in August 2016 was preserved and displayed in VERY good condition.
At the time I pictured the aircraft, one of the main gear cover installed at the base of the gear strut was removed for some reasons and
I was able to photograph the details of the base of the gear strut.
Wright R-3350 engine which powered the A-1 Skyraider is displayed in front of the A-1H aircraft, and I did take some photos of the engine as well.
本スカイレーダーはペンサコーラの海軍航空博物館で撮影しました。本機の保存状態は大変良好です。
主翼を折り畳んだ状態で展示されていたため、外翼の上面は残念ながらうまく撮影出来ませんでした。
ちょっとラッキーだったのは、左主脚の脚柱上部に取り付けてあったカバーが何らかの理由で取り外されており、
通常カバーに覆われて見えない脚柱上部のディテールを撮影することができました。
A-1に搭載されているライトR-3350エンジンが機体の脇に展示されており、エンジンの写真も数枚撮ってきました。
