I took walk-around photos of this C-7A Caribou at the "Museum of Aviation" in Warner Robins, Georgia, in May 2010.
This particular C-7A was a Southeast Asia combat veteran and served with the 483rd Tactical Airlift Wing at Phu Bat AB in South Vietnam,
which later moved to Cam Ranh Bay AB, from January 1968 to December 1971 with the tail code "KN".
The aircraft later served with the 908th TAG (AFRes) at Maxwell AFB, Alabama with the tail code "IM".
It was flown to the museum in December 1985.
The Vietnam camouflage on this aircraft was badly weathered, but the aircraft itself was preserved in fairly good condition.
本機はジョージア州ロビンスAFBに隣接した"Museum of Aviation"で撮影しました。
本展示機はベトナム戦争当時、Phu Bat AB（後にCam Ranh Bay AB）の483rd Tactical Airlift Wingに配備され"KN"のテールコードを付けていました。
ベトナム戦後アラバマ州Maxwell AFBの908th TAG (AFRes)に配備されてテールコードは"IM"になりました。
本機は用途廃止後、1985年12月に当博物館に飛来し引き渡されました。
ベトナム迷彩はかなり退色が進んでいますが、機体そのものはかなり良好な状態で保存･展示されていました。
主脚収納庫には野鳥の巣作りを防ぐために金網で塞がれており、中のメカニズムは良く見えませんでした。
