#1) F-100D (ex-French AF, #52736)

I took the following walk-around photos at "Musee de l'Air et de l'Espace" next to Le Bourget airport in 2008.
The aircraft was mounted on the high display stand as shown on the photo at left,
so I was only able to photograph mostly under surfaces of the aircraft.
However, it was so convenient to photograph the underside details of the aircraft.
The aircraft was still preserved in very good condition.
パリ郊外のル・ブールジェ空港に隣接する航空宇宙博物館に展示されていた元フランス空軍のF-100Dを2008年に撮影しました。
左の写真の通り、この機体は展示スタンドの上に乗せられて、かなり高い位置に展示されていました。
よって、細部写真の大半は主翼や胴体の下面が中心となりました。
でも、F-100は胴体後半がかなり低くて地面に近いため、一般の展示ではそこがマトモに撮影が出来ないんです。
その意味では都合が良かったです。機体の保存状態は非常に良好でした。

I took the following walk-around photos at an aviation museum named "Flugausstellung" near Hermeskeil in Germany in 2008.
The aircraft was also mounted on the high display stand as shown on the photo at left,
so I was only able to photograph mostly under surfaces of the aircraft.
However, it was so convenient to photograph the undersurface details of the aircraft.
The aircraft was still preserved in very good condition.
ドイツ南西部のド田舎にある"Flugausstellung"という名前の航空博物館で2008年夏に撮影した元USAFのF-100Fです。
単座型ではなく複座のF型を展示してあるところがとても気に入りました。
前出のF-100Dと同様に、この機体も展示スタンドの上に乗せられて、かなり高い位置に展示されていました。
よって、細部写真の大半は主翼や胴体の下面が中心となりました。
但し、展示位置の関係で機体後部は光線が回らず、しかも撮影しずらいため、胴体尾部は無理して撮りませんでした。
機体の保存状態は大変良好でした。

#1; "RHAW antenna"
Radar Homing and Warning (RHAW) antennas were added under the intake lips to some aircraft used in Vietnam.
The following photos (F-100D) were taken at Selfridge Military Air Museum in Michigan.
ベトナム戦に投入されたF-100の中には、機首インテークリップ下にRadar Homing and Warning (RHAW)アンテナをレトロフィットされた機体が有りました。
以下の写真はミシガン州Selfridge Military Air Museumで写したF-100DのRHAWアンテナです。
#2; "Tail hook & tail skid area"
The following photos were taken at Pima Air & Space Museum (F-100C) and at Davis Monthan airshow (QF-100F).
The tail hook was removed from the QF-100F, but the hook(point) guard still remained on the aircraft.
ピマで写したF-100Cとデビスモンサンで写したQF-100Fのテールフック周辺の写真です。
QF-100Fでは既にテールフックが取り外されていますが、フックガード（通常時の偶発的拘束を防止する三角板）は残されています。
テールフック端は機軸から左右にズレて取付けられましたが、A,C型では左側に、D,F型では右側にズレています。

The following photos (F-100C) were taken at "Pima Air and Space Museum".
Please note that the front end of the pylon was curved toward inboard side as show on the following photo.
ピマで写したF-100Cの増槽タンクです。
ちょっとこの写真では見づらいですが、パイロンの前端部は少し内側に湾曲しています。
又、内側に何やらの小さなフェアリングが隠れています。
