I photographed this Grumman G-21A(JRF-5) Goose at Yanks Air Museum at Chino/CA with permission.
According to the museum information, this JRF-5 was ex-U.S.Navy one with the BuNo.87746.
After the USN service, the aircraft was operated by the Avalon Air Transport (later Catalina Airlines) and flown around the Santa Catalina Island off Long Beach.
The aircraft is painted in white overall, so you can clearly recognize panel lines and rivet lines easily.
As you can see from the photos, this aircraft was preserved in very good conditions at the time of my visit to Yanks Air Museum.
このグラマン・グースは加州チノ空港にあるYanks Air Museumで展示されていました。
博物館の情報によると、本機はかつて米海軍で運用されており、当時のBuNo.は87746です。
USN退役後はAvalon Air Transport (後に Catalina Airlinesと改名)に売却されて、ロングビーチ沖に浮かぶカタリナ島への民間空輸に使われたそうです。
機体全面が真っ白に塗装されているため、光線状態の悪い屋内展示でも比較的撮影しやすく、
またパネルラインやリベットの配置も見易くなっています。
