#1) JMSDF MH-53E s/n.8628 & 8631

JMSDF ordered a total of eleven MH-53E Sea Dragon minesweeping helicopters(serials 8621-8631) and the first machine was delivered to the JMSDF in 1989.
It was operated by the 51st Kokutai at first for operational testing and evaluations.
The JMSDF recieved the last(11th) machine in 1994, and all of the eleven MH-53Es were operated by the 111th Kokutai based at Iwakuni for minesweeping duty.
The last two surviving machines (s/n.8625 & 8631) retired from active service in March 2017.
I took walk-around photos of two MH-53Es (s/n.8628 & 8631) as shown on the above two photos during airshows at Shimofusa in 2014 and at Tateyama in 2013.
The following walkaround photos are mixture of these two Sea Dragons.
皆様ご存知の通り、海自では計11機のMH-53Eを購入し、1989年から1994年の間に納入されました。
当初は第51航空隊で各種試験を行いましたが、その後は全機岩国の第111航空隊で運用されていました。
生き残った最後の２機（ｼﾘｱﾙ＃8625 と ＃8631）は2017年３月に用途廃止となりました。
小生は2013年の館山航空祭に展示された8631号機（上右写真）と2014年の下総航空祭で展示された8628号機（上左写真）の計２機の細部写真を撮影しました。
