RF-8G, BuNo.144617, Pictured at "Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum" in MCAS.Miramar on 08NOV17
I recently noticed that the "Fisher Model" released a resin kit of the RF-8G Photo Crusader Conversion set in 1/32 scale.
So, I became interested in building a big(1/32) RF-8G model by using the Fisher's conversion set.
That is the reason why I took walk-around photos of the RF-8G(see photo at above left) when I visited the "Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum" in MCAS.Miramar on 08NOV17.
The RF-8G displayed at the museum is heavily weathered and the surface(paint) is cracked all around the fuselage and the wings.
However, I'm still very interested in this aircraft because the "photo" Crusader is rarely seen in the museum.
I concentrated in taking pictures of the forward fuselage and the upper surface of the center wing(see photo at above right) because they are unique on the "Photo" Crusader.
Walk-around photos of the regular(fighter-type) Crusader can be easily found on the internet and the publications.
最近フィッシャーモデルからレジン製の1/32のRF-8G改造キットが発売されているのに気が付きました。
そこで、デカイ（1/32）写真偵察型のクルセーダーを作りたくなって、昨年(2017）秋にミラマーの海兵隊航空博物館を訪問した際に、展示されていたRF-8Gを頑張って撮りまくりました。
本機は南カリフォルニアの強烈な太陽光を長年浴び続けた結果、機体表面の塗装は細かくひび割れしていました。
それでも、写真偵察型クルセーダーの展示はかなり珍しいので、偵察型の特徴である胴体前半分や主翼上面（センターライン部周辺）を重点的に撮影してきました。
通常型（戦闘機タイプ）のクルセーダーの細部写真はネットや印刷物でいくらでも見付けられるため、共通部分の細部はあまり撮影していません。
