Convair F-102A Delta Dagger

#1) USAF Serial # 56-0984

This F-102A was displayed at "Wings over the Rockies Air Museum" in Denver Colorado and I visited the museum as a member of IPMS/USA photo tour in August 2013. The aircraft was preserved in very good conditions generally and I was so happy to see the aircraft was displayed with its weapons bays in open position. So, I did take some photos of the weapons bay area from various different angles. Unfortunately, the cockpit of this aircraft was not in good shape. Also, the tail hook and data link antenna were missing (removed from the aircraft).

本機はコロラド州デンバーの"Wings over the Rockies Air Museum"で2013年に撮影しましたが、屋内に保管されており保存状態はかなり良好です。小生が特に気に入ったことは、本機がミサイルベイを開けた状態で展示されていたことです。ミサイルベイ内は床に這いつくばりながら色々な角度からたくさん撮りました。それを見ていた博物館の館員さんが小生のことを"Floor Polisher"（床磨き人）と呼んでいました。残念なこととしては、まず操縦席内部がかなり荒れ放題だったこと、そして、テールフックやデータリンク用アンテナ等の外部部品が一部撤去されていたことです。

McClellan Aerospace Museum of California

I took these walk-around photos at "McClellan Aerospace Museum of California" in 2010. The aircraft was displayed outdoors, but it was still preserved in relatively good conditions. Due to the outdoors display, panel lines on the fuselage were clearly seen and pictured.

サクラメント郊外の元マクレランAFBに隣接する"McClellan Aerospace Museum of California"で2010年に撮影したF-102Aです。屋外展示の割には保存状態は良かったです。屋外での撮影のため、胴体のパネルラインはかなりクッキリと写っています。

#3) USAF Serial # 54-1405

Strategic Air & Space Museum

I took these walk-around photos at "Strategic Air & Space Museum" near Omaha, Nebraska in 2010. This museum displayed a lot of ex-SAC (Strategic Air Command) aircraft in the display hangars. This F-102A was still preserved in good conditions.

ネブラスカ州オマハ郊外の"Strategic Air & Space Museum"で2011年に撮影したF-102Aです。この博物館はかつてのSAC司令部があったOffutt空軍基地の近くにあり、この名前が付いたようです。多くのSAC関連機が展示されています。前ページで紹介したF-102Aでは外されていたテールフックやデータリンク用アンテナ、そしてバリアー・プローブ（引っ掛け棒）など胴体下面の装備品もしっかり撮っています。
