I took walk-around photos of this Twin Pioneer CC.2 "XL993" in June 2014, which was displayed at RAF Museum at Cosford.
It was preserved at the museum in very good conditions.
The Twin Pioneer provided the RAF with a light transport with impressive short take off and landing characteristics.
It was most effectice in a support role in Africa, the Middle and Far East where it took part in a number of colonial operations.
このツイン・パイオニアCC.2"XL993"はRAF Museum Cosfordに保存・展示されており、2014年6月に撮影しました。
保存状態はとても良好です。日本ではほとんど馴染みのない機種ですが、Scotish Aviation社が小型輸送機パイオニアを双発化して開発したSTOL（短距離離着陸）輸送機です。
初飛行は1955年で、英空軍用には39機が生産され、主にアフリカや中近東、極東地区で1960年代まで使われていました。
